Welcome to the Westmont Lions Club website.
Lions Clubs began in 1917 here in the Chicagoland area. We were soon challenged by Hellen Keller to be the "Knights of the Blind". We still hold that vision as our primary calling today.
The Westmont Lions Club is the oldest service organization in the Village of Westmont. We are quickly approaching our 75th year. We are very active here in the community. You will find us selling corn at the Taste of Westmont; pouring beer and cooking pretzels at the Fourth of July and co-hosting the Villages Annual Red, White & BBQ Festival. You’ll see us on the corner shaking our cans for Candy Day every October. We also have a pasta dinner at Papa Passero’s in the fall and a reverse raffle in late winter.
All of these events help us provide glasses and hearing aides to those in need here in Westmont. We also raise money to fund scholarships. In addition, we support a variety of events at the schools and the park district.
You’ll find Lions are from all walks of life. But we all have one thing in common, we are passionate about service and about Westmont. We hope we’ll see you at one of our many fundraisers. We also hope you’ll consider joining us as “WE SERVE” the Village of Westmont and those with vision and hearing impairments.
Please take the time to explore our website, get to know us, find out more about who we are and what we do and then JOIN US!
